About the Meet
Unusual among collegiate swimming and diving competitions, the Grove City College Invitational has served, since its inception, both as a late-season invitational meet and as the championship meet for the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). Since 2007, it has also served as the championship meet for a second NCAA Division III conference, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC).
Ten women's and nine men's teams are competing in this year's meet, with the Westminster Titans looking to complete their third consecutive sweep of the invitational and PAC titles. Their stiffest competition on the men's side will likely come from host Grove City, while Washington and Jefferson is expected to pose the most serious challenge for the women's title. Among the AMCC teams, the Penn State Behrend Lions are likewise defending a sweep of their conference championship. The regular season saw the Penn State Altoona men and women emerge as their strongest opponents in the hunt for this year's AMCC crown.
About the Site
This site is intended to be the most complete online resource for those following this year's GCC Invitational. Its contents are the responsibility of the meet director and technical staff. All reasonable effort will be made to keep the information as accurate and up-to-date as possible, both before the meet and as the sessions progress. Keep in mind, however, that since the site is run independently of the host college and the two competing conferences, updates and releases beyond the meet director's purview may be posted on those websites before they appear here.
For those who wish to view official notices or press releases related specifically to their own team's performance, the links page offers direct access to the GCC, PAC, and AMCC websites, as well as the team sites for each of the participating schools. It also provides connections to other sites related to the meet and to collegiate swimming more generally.
If you have any comments and/or questions about the site, please contact the meet director. Questions and/or comments about the video feed are welcome and should be submitted using the form provided on that page.
