The Bison men's efforts will be centered on four individuals, three of whom will swim in the short freestyle races. In addition, they will all swim in different stroke events, with Sawyer swimming in the 100 fly, McCarthy competing in the 100 breast and Bonaventura swimming the 100 back. They will be joined in the relays by senior Spencer Conner, who will also be diving on both the one-meter and three-meter boards during Championships.

The Bison's top individual to watch at PAC Championships is junior diver Desiree Finley. The conference champion on both boards as a freshman and a repeat winner in the one-meter competition last year, Finley is a major contender for both crowns coming into the weekend. After missing the first semester, she came back strong in January, breaking four school records in just four meets. In the pool, Bethany has broken several school relay records at Championships in recent years and have their sights set on possibly erasing a couple of those marks this weekend. The Bison will turn to a deep, but young, group of swimmers, all of whom are competing in either their first or second PAC Championship event. The "veterans" of the group include junior Jessica Sarro and sophomores Cynthia Richardson, Jillian Zewe and Kristen Zukoff. The freshman who are getting their first taste of this championship meet are Lindsay Arnold, Sarah Atkins and Sara Reass. |

Head Coach Kaymee Kelly brings the Frostburg State men's and women's swimming and diving teams to the AMCC Championships with hopes of contending for a conference championship. In her first season at the helm of the Bobcats she has turned the programs into serious contenders by bulking up a team that only had 13 total swimmers last season. The women's team is led by the dynamic duo of junior Thirza Roberto (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) and freshman Arielle Harding (Damascus, Md./Good Counsel). Roberto has dominated the backstroke competitions this season and looks to continue in her pursuit of winning individual AMCC championships. Harding on the other side has led the AMCC in breaststroke, which she hopes to equate into competing for high-point honors. Freshman distance swimmer Hannah Seay (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) will compete for her own AMCC honors in the 1650 freestyle. Senior Michelle Nash (Columbia, Md/Hammond) plans to use her final time in the pool for Frostburg State as an opportunity to capture the 200 fly title. FSU hopes the added depth of having doubled the women's teams numbers will help to vault the Bobcats into competing for the conference championship. On the men's side, the Bobcats will be led by a tandem of sprinters. Junior Josh Green (New Market, Md./Linganore) and senior Charlie Swartz (Greenbelt, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) have continued to drop time in the 50 and 100 freestyle competitions all season long. Senior Jack Hudson (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) looks to make an impact in his final time in the pool as a Bobcat. Hudson currently holds the second fastest time in the AMCC in the 200 fly. Sophomore Bill Ford (Towson, Md./Calvert Hall) will pace FSU in the distance events as he is in the top times in multiple distance events as well as backstroke. This year's addition of two divers will benefit the Bobcats as sophomores Peter Lostritto (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) and Mike Ashton (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) with both contend for individual awards on the one-meter board. |

Penn State Behrend's men's team is ready to roar. This is one of the hardest-working teams Behrend has ever had. Leading the way is a group of young versatile Lions. Sophomore Captains Josh Weaver and Ben Strunk have rallied their team to expect great performances. And the team has risen to the challenge, setting a pool record in the 400 free relay at the Blue Devil Invitational and performing under pressure when it counts. The team is vying for its third AMCC Championship in as many years and multiple ECAC qualifying performances. Along with Weaver and Strunk, expected qualifiers include Dane Dombrosky and Steve Zomcik. Distance swimmers David Jesberger and Terrance Watterson pack a 1-2 punch. Key performances are also expected from Jake Sherk, Steve Graves, Harmilee Cousin, Mike Falvo, Ronnie Hatt, and Peter Bissert.

| Women's Team Preview | |||
Small but mighty is the women's team's motto. We are a more diverse team then we have been in recent years and have worked hard all season to emphasize that aspect. Even with our small numbers we have had success, winning 5 dual meets and placing 4th at the Blue Devil Invitational. Krystal Kovach has been a standout on the women's side, breaking team records while achieving NCAA qualifying scores on both the one meter and three meter boards. As far as the championships go, we look strong within the AMCC. All of our Lady Lions are in the conference top 5 for their respective events. Junior Captain Danielle Wilson, and sophomore Katie Van Epps will help lead the young team to their shot at a third AMCC championship. Big performances are expected from all of the freshman. Julie Cook, Hilary MacManus, and Heather Vickery provide a triple threat in the breaststroke events, while Anne Lawrence power-packs the back and fly events. The Lady Lions have proven that they can and will stick together to get the job done. |

The UPB men's team hopes to grow both in size and speed next year. The 2008-2009 women's team has gone from 3 athletes last year to 7 at championships this year. The team has benefited greatly from the talents of freshman Rachel Davis, sophomore Rebecca Carlson, graduating sophomore Sara Meingossner, freshman Cari Olewinski, and senior Rachel Miklosey. Since joining the Presidents' Athletic Conference for the 2006-07 season, the PAC/AMCC Championships have been kind to the Saint Vincent Bearcats. The Bearcats, coached by Josh Gurekovich, have finished fifth at the event in each of the past two seasons, and 17 of the team's current records were set in the past two years at Grove City. The Bearcats enter the PAC Championships with a 5-4 record, and the team has received contributions from a healthy mix of veteran upperclassmen and newcomers throughout the season. Senior Eric Clouse, the team's record holder in the 100 and 200 fly as well as the 200 IM, has enjoyed a solid final season for the Bearcats, earning a total of eight individual wins and six second-place finishes in his three specialty events as well as the 100 free. Clouse's classmate, Jon Okonak, who boasts school records in the 50 and 100 free, has also done quite well in '08-09, earning six individual first place finishes and seven second-place finishes on the year. Zack Krejdovsky has displayed excellent versatility throughout his sophomore season, setting a school record with a time of 5:01.40 in the 500 Free on Dec. 4th while also earning points in the 1000 and 1650 Free and the 100 Back on the year. A pair of freshmen, Matt Snelick and Dan Kostovny, has led Saint Vincent in the breaststroke, as they've shared either first or second six times through the Bearcats' nine meets. Another first-year swimmer, Andre Maldonado, has complimented the veteran Okonak well in the short freestyle races, earning points in the 50, 100 or 200 in seven dual meets. Snelick and Clouse have been constants on SVC's medley relay squads, teaming with Krejdovsky, Okonak, Troy Linebaugh, and Adam Thomas to capture first or second in the 200 and 400 seven times on the season, while Okonak, Maldonado, Linebaugh, and Kirk Selembo have teamed up to earn points in the 200 and 400 free relays in six different meets on the year.

| Women's Team Preview | |||
The Saint Vincent women will turn to a number of young faces as they look to improve upon their seventh place finish in the 2008 PAC/AMCC Championships. With a roster composed of five freshmen, two sophomores, and a junior, the Saint Vincent College Lady Bearcats are the youngest team in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. Despite the lack of experience, the team has put together a solid, and promising, 4-6 record up to this point, with contributions made by each and every member of the squad. In her first year of competition, freshman Mandie West has earned 17 first-place finishes, setting school records in five individual events, including the 200, 500, 1000, and 1650 free and the 400 IM. West’s classmate, Jess Kennedy, enters this championship weekend owning team records in both the 50 and 100 free, while she has also earned points throughout the year in the 200 free, and the 100 and 200 fly. A third Lady Bearcat freshman, Maggie Demspey, owns seven individual wins in the 50 and 100 free, while first-year swimmer Christine Dunleavy has spearheaded SVC’s breaststroke efforts on the year, earning points in the 100 and 200. Swimming the 100 fly, 200 free, and 1000 free, sophomore Amanda Haile has earned first- or second-place finishes in all 10 of her team's dual meets on the year. Freshman Haley Krol came on over the second half of the season to post wins in the 50, 100, and 200 free, while junior Molly Michael has also earned points in all three events throughout the year. Sophomore Sarah Denning has picked up three wins and five second places in backstroke events. The Lady Bearcat foursome of Kennedy, Haile, Dempsey, and West set school records in both the 200 and 800 free relay, while the medley relay squad of Krol, Dempsey, Kennedy, and Haile owns multiple wins in both the 200 and 400 distances. |

The W&J women are led by a host of freshmen, including two-time PAC Swimmer/Diver of the Week Brittany Vogel. Freshman diver Bethany Haver also earned the conference's athlete of the week award on November 24th and has provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships. Corcoran, Ellie Tecza, and Katie Steider are also prepared to contend for PAC titles in multiple events. The W&J men will be led by sophomore Brandon Smith, who tied for the championship's high-point award last season. Smith was the PAC Swimmer of the Week on November 10th.
