Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the 2010 Grove City College Swimming and Diving Invitational! The site provides general information about the meet, ticket information for spectators, overviews of the teams that will be participating in the meet, driving directions, a list of places to stay in the Grove City area, live-updated results, a live video webcast of the competition (courtesy of Grove City College Media Services), and more.

About the Meet

Unusual among collegiate swimming and diving competitions, the Grove City College Invitational has served, since its inception, both as a late-season invitational meet and as the championship meet for the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). Since 2007, it has also served as the championship meet for a second NCAA Division III conference, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC).

Ten women's and nine men's teams are competing in this year's meet. The Grove City Wolverines are attempting to repeat their sweep of the 2009 meet, with the Washington and Jefferson Presidents and the Westminster Titans, both of whom have won multiple titles in recent years, looking to snatch the crown back. In the AMCC, the Penn State Behrend Lions are looking to continue their past dominance by sweeping the conference championship for the fourth consecutive year. The Frostburg State Bobcats came within six points of the Lions last year and, along with the Pitt-Bradford Panthers, look to offer the strongest challenge for the women's title. Pitt-Bradford is also likely to present the biggest threat on the men's side.

About the Site

This site is intended to be the most complete online source of information for those who are following this year's GCC Invitational. Its contents are the responsibility of the webmaster and the video production staff. All reasonable effort will be made to keep the information as accurate and up-to-date as possible, both before the meet and as the sessions progress. Keep in mind, however, that since the site is not directly run by the host college or the two competing conferences, updates and releases beyond the webmaster's purview may be posted on those websites before they appear here.

For those who wish to view official notices or press releases related specifically to their own team's performance, the links page offers direct access to the PAC and AMCC websites, as well as to the team sites for each of the participating schools. It also provides connections to other sites related to the meet and to collegiate swimming more generally.

If you have any comments and/or questions about the site that are not related to the video feed, please contact the webmaster. To submit questions, comments, and/or reports of technical difficulties about the video feed, you may either send an e-mail directly or fill out the form provided.
